Cousins in the Community
As a proud family run business, community will always be at the heart of Cousins

Southwater Junior Academy Shed
As an independent, local, family-run business, community values are very important to our company ethos. So, when Southwater Junior Academy approached us regarding a new shed for their eco garden in 2025, we instantly knew we wanted to help!We supplied this Woodlands Super Apex 6 x 4 shed for a special discounted price and installed it for them during the Summer holidays.
This space used to house the school’s swimming pool many years before and in fact the nearby building that still stands to this day used to be the changing rooms. The space became overgrown over the years and a few years ago it was decided that there was potential being wasted and redevelopment began!
The plan was to turn it into a beautiful and tranquil garden space for all the children to enjoy, but with a special emphasis on the SEN children in their care.
Our shed will provide valuable space for tools and other apparatus to be stored, as the project continues, and should be enjoyed by many cohorts of students to come. We ordered the windows with plexiglass, rather than traditional glass, to ensure everyone’s safety and the lock and key ensure any tools that need to be locked away from children can be done so securely.
Community Mental Health Support
At the heart of our team’s values is a genuine commitment to community wellbeing and Katie and Georgia embody that every day.
Katie works three days a week with a community mental health team, providing vital support to individuals facing complex challenges. Georgia is currently advancing her studies in psychology, building deeper understanding and skills that she brings into every interaction. Both Katie and Georgia also volunteer for the Shout crisis text line, offering calm, compassionate support to people experiencing mental health distress often in their most vulnerable moments.
Mental health is everywhere, and in customer-facing roles, you never know what someone might be going through. That’s why Katie and Georgia lead with compassion and understanding, treating each customer with patience, giving them space, and creating genuine connection. Their dedication reminds us that small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.

Hosted and Attended Defibrillator Training
We were very kindly invited to take part in vital defibrillator training organised by our neighbours Huxley's Birds of Prey Centre, Horsham, West Sussex and donated by Oliver King Foundation from Liverpool. The organistion also donated this life-saving piece of equipment to Huxleys, who have placed it in a position that can be communally accessed by ourselves and all other businesses on the premises.
We were of course only too happy to host this valuable training session in one of our buildings, ensuring plenty of space for the talk, demonstrations and practise afterwards. Our conservatory project manager Jackie Fearn and our Garden Building Sales Manager Matt took part in this crucial training and were proud to receive their certificates upon completion.
